Understanding Your Instructional Framework I for Leaders


The lessons take learners from a general understanding of rubrics as instruments to support growth through tasks to deconstruct their districts’ instructional/service frameworks.

This course is for new instructional leaders or for those who are using a new instrument for evaluation/support. The lessons address the basic structures of an instructional framework and allow the instructional leader, regardless of the instrument being used, to develop a big picture understanding of the design. It is considered a “beginner” course.

Learning Targets:

  • Develop strategies to deconstruct my district’s instructional framework, leading to a deeper understanding of the expectations in each category/indicator/standard.
  • Distinguish between performance ratings using key levers.
